Day 27 , the last day

Idag var det sista dagen i skolan och här i Toulouse för oss fem. Vi började skoldagen klockan 8.00 i turbinläran. Vi delades in i grupper och fick mest titta på vad eleverna gjorde. Klockan 11.00 träffade vi två svenska lärare från Wikmanska som vi skulle hålla vår presenation om vår plåtbit vi gjorde igår. Christoph och Marc var också där för att lyssna på den så vill höll presentationen på engelska. Vi var helt oförberedda men det gick jättebra ändå. Christoph gav oss var sin utvärdering om hur man jobbat dessa 4 veckor eftersom vi haft honom som lärare oftast. När presentationen var klar frågade Marc oss lite frågor om hur vi haft det dessa 4 veckor, vad vi tyckte dom kunde förbättra i skolan osv. Sen var det slut för dagen. Vi kommer träffa Christoph och Marc i Januari för då kommer de franska utbytesstudenterna till oss och då följer dom två med. Så vi skakade hand och sa " vi ses " och gav skåp nycklarna till Christoph sen gick vi till lunchen. Sista måltiden i skolan blev en köttgryta med potatisbollar med äppelpaj. Sen tog vi bussen hem. När vi kom hem började vi städa lägenheten direkt och packa det sista. Sen gick vi ut och åt Subway. Vi tyckte den måltiden passade bäst för det var den första måltiden vi åt här i Toulouse och då skulle det vara en kul grej att avsluta med det som sista måltid.
Vi har haft det jättebra här i Toulouse. Staden är helt fantastisk fin och det har varit ett riktigt äventyr att leva själv i en månad utomlands. Allt har gått jättebra, budgeten har räckt till och vi har inte haft några större problem. Det var väl bara att Wi-Fit slutade fungera i ett par dagar men det löste sig. Vädret var inte alls som vi trodde att det skulle vara. Vi trodde att det skulle vara 20 plusgrader så man kunde gå i shorts. Men det var så kallt som i Sverige när vi åkte så Olle, Alex och Emmy behövde köpa en vinterjacka. Vi hann knappt utforska hela staden med alla dess affärer för det var så mycket och stort. Olle och Tilda tog en springtur en dag i början av resan och tog lite bilder i Canal de Brienne. Jättefint spring område. Det fanns resturangbåtar efter ån och fina broar. Snabbmaten dock var inte lika bra som i sverige. De snabbmats resturangerna som var bra var Subway, en pizzeria och en wok and go. Resten smakade inte alls bra och kostade mycket. De lite finare resturangerna var dock jättebra. Serverade jättegod mat och man blev mätt, dock kostade ju det lite mer men det var det värt! Julmarknaden var jättefin också. Och stadsbussarna här tyckte vi mycket om. De hade en blå belysning så det var skönare för ögonen på morgonen när man var så trött. Lägenheten älskar vi, den kommer bli jobbig att lämna. Det är så fint här. Det har varit jättekul och mysigt att bo här. Vi trodde inte att lägenheten skulle vara så fin för trappuppgången ser ut som en trappuppgång till en stugas övervåning. Trångt och luktar gammalt. Men lägenheten var så fin och mordern. Det har pågått ett bygge av hus utanför vår lägenhet och vi är nyfikna på hur det kommer se ut när det är klart. Om några år kanske vi kommer tillbaka och får se. Vem vet haha.
Imorgon tar vi flyget 8.40 från flygplatsen som sedan landar i Munchen. Där ska vi vänta 5 timmar till nästa flyg som tar oss till Sverige. Vi landar i Sverige 17.40 och är i Västerås ca 20.00.
Vi vill tacka skolan som valt ut oss som utbyteselever. Man känner sig verkligen stolt och är väldigt tacksam. Och vi vill tacka alla elever på skolan i Toulouse som verkligen försökt att prata engelska med oss fastän det kanske inte var deras bästa förmåga. De försökte deras bästa och om det inte gick så använde vi google översätt så det gick bra. Vi vill tacka alla lärare för att de ville ha oss där och hjäpte oss. Ett extra stort tack till Christoph för han varit en sån bra lärare och hjälpt oss så mycket.

Today it was our last day in school and here in Toulouse for us five. We started the school day with turbine machine system at 8 AM. We got split into groups with French students. Then at 11 AM, we met 2 Swedish teachers from the school Wikmaska in Västerås that we were going to present our presentation we made about our plate we made yesterday. Christoph and Marc were there too so we had the presentation in English. We were not prepared at all but it went very well anyways. Christoph gave us a report of how well we worked these 4 weeks. After that was done Marc asked us some questions about how we have had it these 4 weeks and what the school could improve. then we ended. We are going to meet Marc and Chrístoph in January because they are coming with the French students to Sweden to our school. So we shook hand and said " See you " and then gave Christoph the keys to the locker rooms and then went to eat lunch. The last lunch we had in that school was hotpot with potato balls and some kind of apple pie. It was really good. Then we took the bus home. When we got home to the apartment we started cleaning it and packed the last stuff. Then we went out to have dinner at Subway. We thought it was the best because Subway was the first meal we had in Toulouse so it would be a fun thing to have it as our last.
We have had a great time here in Toulouse. The city is so beautiful and it been a very fun journey to live by yourself in another country for one month. Everything has been fine, the budget has worked out really well and we had not had ant big problems. The only big problem we had was when the Wi-Fi stopped working but it came back a couple days later so it was okay. The weather was not as we expected it to be. We thought it would be 20+ celsius outside so we brought shorts and summer clothes. But it was as cold as in Sweden. So, Olle, Alex, and Emmy needed to buy winter jackets. We did not discover the whole city because it was so big. So many shops and places to go to but we could not manage to go everywhere. Tilda and Olle went out for a run in the beginning of the trip next to the Canal de Brienne. It was the best place to run at! It was so beautiful with all the threes and the restaurant boats and the river. The fast food was not as good as in Sweden. It tasted really bad. the best fast food restaurants were Subway, a pizzeria, and wok and go. The rest was just not so good. But the more nice restaurants were amazing. the food was really good and you got full. The prize was a bit expensive but it is understandable and it was worth it. The Christmas market was beautiful. We really liked the buses in Toulouse. The light in it was blue so it was not annoying for the eye in the morning when you were tired. We loved the apartment! It will be hard to leave it, it was so beautiful. it was fun to live there and it was really cozy. We did not think the apartment would be so nice because the staircase is so small and smells really bad. It is like a staircase in an old cabin. But when we got up to the apartment we got really chook because it was so beautiful and modern. We loved it. Everything about it is just perfect. While we have been living here there have been going on a build for a building. it is not done yet but we are curious to see what it looks like in the future. maybe we will visit here later and see what it looks like, who knows haha.
Tomorrow we will take the flight from Toulouse at 8.40 AM and arrive at Munchen and wait there for 5 hours and then take another flight to Sweden. We will arrive at Arlanda at 5.40 PM and in Västerås at 8 PM.
We want to thank our school that chose us to go to France. It was an honor and we all feel really proud to be chosen and we are very thankful. We also want to thank the French students for really trying to speak English with us even though it might not be their best ability. They tried their best and if we did not understand we used google translate so everything worked out in the end. So thank you! We also want to thank the French teachers for having us here and teach us. And one big thank you to Christoph for being such a great teacher and helping us out a lot. Thank you!
